“How Prince Albert of Monaco fell out with the man who knew his deepest secrets” (The Telegraph)
This further details but mostly recaps the story of disgraced Claude Palmero, who for decades was Prince Albert’s accountant at Monaco’s Palace.
In earlier posts I’ve documented how, as the prince’s intelligence chief, I called Palmero out in late 2006 and reported my findings about his corruption to Albert directly, along with how Palmero and his crooked cohort, the equally disgraced Thierry Lacoste (then prince’s personal lawyer), were engaged in a cover-up.
Sadly, it took Albert over 15 years to realize I was right.
Back to The Telegraph, whose story seems partly sympathetic to the disgraced accountant.
On June 6 2023, Palmero was handed a letter by Prince Albert, who told him that he had to leave the palace.
“It was horrible,” says Canu-Bernard, Palmero’s lawyer. “Palmero loved his job. It was his life, in fact. His life was Monaco; it was the Prince, the Prince’s family, helping and doing everything he could to protect them.” She adds: “It was very sudden. He felt completely depressed… it was incomprehensible.” Palmero, she says, is lucky to have a family, because “if he was alone, I think he would not be with us.”
Aww—poor Palmero.
Truth is, Claude is dirtier than Harvey Weinstein cussing out an incurable case of crabs.
