Just like trees, humans need wind to grow, to toughen our bark, challenge us.
Wind is transformative. Its silence leads to stillness.
So don’t just do something, sit there.
The Japanese swear by shinrin-yoku (now, in the West, the “new yoga”).
This translates to forest bathing, which means spending time among trees for inhaling a natural aromatherapy called phytoncides, which heal body and soul.
(Proponents of forest bathing like to point out that the Buddha attained enlightenment while sitting beneath the Bodhi Fig Tree in Bodh Gaya, India.)
Very cool. Thanks. 😊
