Thierry Lacoste is the disgraced ex-personal lawyer of Prince Albert of Monaco.
Lacoste was implicated in a corruption scandal that has rocked the principality.
It now transpires that when police raided Lacoste’s Monte Carlo apartment, they discovered four females in residence, three of whom were known by law enforcement for their escort/prostitution services in Monaco.
Reports La Parisien:
"That morning, at 7:10 a.m., the police showed up at the only accommodation in the name of Lacoste within the principality, on the prestigious avenue de l'Annonciade. They acted on orders from three judges of the Monaco court. On the door of the apartment, on the sixth floor of a wealthy residence, are written the name of N. Lacoste, as well as two other surnames, T. and B., as noted in the minutes that we were able to consult . The assigned police captain knocked for a long time. No answer. After consulting the judges, the police officer called a locksmith. At first, he was unable to open the door. The police did not enter the apartment until three-quarters of an hour later, using a drill.
“They then came across a 45-year-old woman of African origin, Mrs. B. Continuing their search in the living room, the police noted the presence of a naked young woman. When questioned, the forty-year-old indicated that the lease is in the name of Nadia Lacoste, the lawyer's mother, who died in 2021, in her 99th year. Spokesperson for more than thirty years of the princely palace, this Monegasque figure was the advisor and friend of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III.
“The links between Thierry Lacoste, his son and Prince Albert, were forged in their early youth. They grew up and then partied together, going to nightclubs and rallies. Police continued to inspect the apartment, had two bedrooms and a bathroom. In one of the rooms, they surprised two other women sleeping, naked. One was lying on a mattress placed on the floor. Surprised by their discovery, the police noted the identities of these three women. The youngest, 34 years old, is a native of Metz. The other two, aged 38 and 51, were born in Vietnam and Morocco respectively. For the police, there is no doubt that some are prostitutes whose activity is known on the Rock.
“An investigation was opened for ‘pimping, use of forgery and offense for use of narcotics.’
“Continuing their investigation, they discovered a small plastic container containing white powder, which turned out to be cocaine. Why were these four women in this apartment? It is officially noted in the report that Ms. B., questioned by the police captain, refused to explain herself on the subject.
“A procedure was finally opened for ‘pimping, use of forgery and use of narcotics.’
“When contacted, Stéphane Thibault, the Attorney General of Monaco, initially did not respond to our requests, ultimately indicating that “the incidental procedure had been opened against a person who was not Mr. Lacoste,” and “that following the investigations carried out, it was closed without further action."
Mde Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, Thierry Lacoste's lawyer, indicates that the lease of the accommodation is indeed in the name of her client, and that this has been the case "for more than two years," the document having been updated the day “after the death of his mother.
“Concretely, according to his lawyer, Mr. Lacoste hosted Mrs. B, a long-time friend of the latter as well as of the Prince, and in a situation of financial difficulty.”
As soon as Prince Albert’s name was invoked in connection to Lacoste’s den of iniquity, the police terminated their investigation without further action.
