Big Pharma Coming Back! RFK on the Attack! Letitia James on the Rack! Harry Feels Royal Blowback!
This was published earlier today in Santa Barbara Current.
“Sen. Chris Van Hollen meets with Kilmar Abrego Garcia as Trump fights to keep him in El Salvador” (NBC News)
Van Hollen is just another grandstanding politician who thinks he has a chance at Democratic leadership. Any chance to kiss a baby… but in this case, cozying up with a wife-beating MS-13 gangster who illegally entered the USA.
Little wonder…
“Salvadoran president mocks Van Hollen” (The Hill)
“Now that he’s been confirmed healthy,” wrote the Salvadoran president on X, “he [the MS-13 gangster] gets the honor of staying in El Salvador’s custody.”
Foreign leaders have no time for thoughtless fatheads playing to MSNBC. They’re dealing with real-world threats—not DC vanity projects in diplomatic drag.
“Sen. Chris Van Hollen claims margaritas were planted by El Salvador government during meeting with alleged MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia” (NY Post)
Mocked, indeed. What a fool!
And now other Dem politicians who want to be noticed are jostling to become court jesters—though they’ve been noticed (after begging for taxpayer money to fund their travels) to… piss off.
“Johnson & Johnson CEO warns US tariffs may disrupt drug supply” (Reuters)
Eli Lilly pledged to invest $27 billion in new U.S. plants over the next five years. J&J also laid out plans to raise U.S. investments by 25% to more than $55 billion over the next four years.
Big Pharma has suddenly rediscovered America, pledging tens of billions in domestic investments after decades of outsourcing—but only because tariffs threaten to rattle the pill bottle.
The question isn’t why they’re building plants here now—it’s why they didn’t do it decades ago.
An even bigger question: Why did our so-called leaders ever allow life-saving medications to depend on the goodwill of China?
But we already know the answer: For years we were led down a garden path by multiple administrations or both parties that promised voters everything while quietly signing off on trade deals that shipped our production overseas and turned our pharmaceutical supply chain into a geopolitical house of cards—while causing the folks of many once-booming towns to board up their homes, their towns and bail.
And why did they do this?
So multinational corporations (globalists) could cut costs, pad profits and outsource labor to regimes where workers can’t even call in sick—because they can’t speak out at all.
Even in a global economy, national self-sufficiency—food, medicine, energy—should never be out-sourced.
“Britain’s race to take control of its last major steel plant from Chinese owner” (CNN)
And now a lesson in what happens when China is allowed to own manufacturing plants inside your country.
Britain just seized control of its last virgin steel plant—not because of war or crisis, but because a Chinese-owned blast furnace was about to shut down.
Jingye, the owner of British Steel, planned to cancel orders for raw materials, which would’ve silenced Britain’s blast furnaces for the first time since the Industrial Revolution. Faced with industrial extinction, Parliament acted.
This isn’t strategy—it’s desperation.
For decades, UK leaders outsourced essential industries to foreign firms under the banner of globalization. Now, Britain’s Labour government finds itself nationalizing a steel plant to avoid economic fallout, with 2,700 jobs at stake.
When a nation no longer controls its own steel, it no longer controls its own future.
Steel isn’t just economic—it’s strategic. And the illusion that free markets will protect national interests has just melted down in Scunthorpe’s furnaces.
“Fauci’s First Year Of ‘Retirement’ Was A Money Making Bonanza, Docs Show” (Daily Caller)
All told, Fauci’s net worth has doubled since the start of the overplayed pandemic, even as Americans were locked down, laid off and lectured.
$1.15M in undisclosed deposits.
Paid gigs with drugstore and insurance lobbies.
Cash prizes from elite institutions.
A pay-off for lying?
“RFK Jr sensationally reveals five 'toxins' in everyday goods that could be causing autism epidemic” (Daily Mail)
Mold: An indoor environmental toxin.
Pesticides: Including heavily used agricultural chemicals like DCPA, linked to developmental delays.
Food Chemicals: Specifically, endocrine disruptors like Bisphenol A (BPA) found in plastics and packaging.
Medications: Pharmaceuticals taken during pregnancy that play a role in disrupting brain development.
Ultrasound Technology: Its use has risen commensurate with autism rates.
“On fluoride, RFK Jr. actually has a point” (Washington Post)
While fluoridation has helped prevent tooth decay, newer research suggests the policy may be outdated.
Two key developments challenge the old consensus:
Toothpaste and mouthwash already provide enough fluoride.
New studies suggest high fluoride exposure during pregnancy is harmful to early brain development.
Not mentioned in this article is how fluoride calcifies the pineal gland and impairs its function.
The pineal gland is the biological clock of the body, regulating sleep, mood and aspects of cognitive clarity and hormonal balance. It is where natural melatonin is manufactured. New research links its dysfunction not only to sleep disorders but also to broader neurological and endocrine disruptions.
12% of American adults have chronic insomnia.
33% are sleeping less than 7 hours a night.
17.8% can’t stay asleep.
14.5% struggle to fall asleep most days.
Now let’s look at Finland, which ranks # 1 happiest country (eight years straight).
It also ranks # 1 in lengthy sleep. (8.5 hours.)
Guess what? No fluoride in Finland’s water.
The lesson: Reclaim your pineal gland by drinking fluoride-free water, brushing with fluoride-free toothpaste and rinsing with fluoride-free mouthwash.
Thereafter: Sweet dreams! Happier existence!
“Trump to skip out on annual dinner honoring journalists amid ongoing battle with press” (Deseret Press)
Skipping the White House Correspondents’ Dinner isn’t a snub—it’s brand consistency. Trump doesn’t need to schmooze over shrimp cocktails and press-club punchlines. He holds court with the media without a filter or teleprompter—a running roast—every week, live, uncut.
And he plays to all Americans instead of the fourth estate’s exclusive version of Insider Washington.
“Letitia James dodges questions about mortgage fraud scandal outside NYC home, pretends to be on the phone” (NY Post)
Earning a $220,000 annual salary as a New York state prosecutor, Letitia falsified records to secure favorable mortgage terms on a Virginia property she claimed—controversially—as her “principal residence” in 2023.
Jeez… wasn’t this the persecutor who famously proclaimed…
Ever get the feeling there’s no escaping hypocrisy when it comes to elected officials and public servants?
“Joe Biden ‘having trouble booking gigs’ with $300K per speech asking price” (NY Post)
Let’s call these speaking fees what they really are: debt collection. As in, payoff for favors granted (however filtered).
But even Joe’s many debtors (Delaware-based credit card companies that get away with charging loan-shark interest rates) aren’t having it from an old git who…
“…drops his melting ice cream bar after being smuggled into Harvard for surprise appearance” (NY Post)
And refers to Ukraine as Iraq.
“Astonishing identity of Minnesota Tesla vandal filmed keying EV while walking his dog” (Daily Mail)
A senior staffer in Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s administration has been caught on surveillance video repeatedly keying Tesla vehicles while walking his dog.
At least we better understand why the 2020 riots in Minneapolis were allowed to explode way out of control without any attempt whatsoever by state and city “leaders” to enforce law and order.
“Commando raid & 30,000 lb bombs… inside Israeli & US plan to wipe out Iran’s nuke bases” (The US Sun)
Buckle up.
“Prince Harry insiders claim he's in the dark about the King's cancer battle and say William doesn't answer his calls or messages as they lift lid on deepening rift with his family” (Daily Mail)
Hapless Harold, reportedly ghosted by his father and brother, is shocked—shocked!—by the consequences of torching the royal bridge for Netflix dollars and Oprah ratings.
This is the man who claims to despise media intrusion... then cashed in on it with a tell-all memoir and a docuseries— and maybe (following in wife Meghan’s footsteps) an upcoming cookbook: “Royally Toasted: Recipes from Exile.”
Yet now, after monetizing his trauma and setting the family tree aflame, he’s feeling sorry for himself because he can no longer swing from its branches.
What did he expect—a group hug in the garden of Balmoral Castle? A teary reunion over tea and crumpets?
Adrift, instead, in an ocean of public therapy and private silence.
“A scientific formula for the perfect day” (The Telegraph)
The lesson here is not what researchers at the University of British Columbia say (four hours of exercise, six hours with family, no doomscrolling), but this: Live each day as if it’s your birthday, Christmas and Halloween rolled into one. Eat something delicious. Surprise someone. Wear a cape.
Call it Daynetics: a life philosophy where you structure your own perfect day—then actually live it. Not someday. Today. Every day.
“Colossal squid captured on video in deep sea for first time” (Washington Post)
While we scan the skies for aliens, Earth’s most thrilling theater is happening miles below the surface—in a lightless world where creatures move like myths and nothing makes noise.
The planet’s real drama isn’t up here—it’s down there.
Maybe we’re not the dominant species. Maybe we’re just the loudest.

Stopping to Feel
Many Santa Barbarians were blessed to know Boris Romanowsky, a formidable, longtime presence in local law enforcement who served as a corrections and parole officer and later as a private investigator throughout the Ventura/Santa Barbara region.
Now, his legacy has been captured with profound grace by his daughter, Sasha, whose newly published memoir offers a raw, poetic and deeply moving portrait of her father.
It’s not just a tribute—it’s a stunning piece of writing: visceral, inspirational—and, without question, the best book I’ve read this year.
What a week—whew!
And so should you.
