A subscriber pointed out that, according to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, a Secret Service team was inside the building on which would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was perched.

Question: Why inside the building? A whole team? On top of which, the building was outside the Secret Service perimeter and thereby relinquished to local law enforcement. Makes no sense.

Until you take into account that this team had the same line of sight as the shooter.

Was inside supposed to be the grassy knoll… but something went wrong?
