Sedona AZ is 357 miles and a dimension away from Palm Springs CA.
The above photo—a welcoming sight on Route 179 north—is Bell Rock, one of this spiritual town’s mystical vortexes.
We’d left a moist desert oasis…
…and six hours later (add an hour because Arizona doesn’t buy into daylight savings)…
…arrived in frigid Red Rock Country…
… which, early next morning (today in real time), is blanketed with snow.
Good thing our casita by-the-creek at L’Auberge comes equipped with a hearth—none of this gas nonsense but kindling and real wood for a fire that snaps, crackles and pops.
During the night, I dreamt my right hand was massaging itself… then awakened to discover it really was: A vibrant pulsation bouncing around from one part of my hand to the other in a circular motion, the kind of metaphysical electro-shock therapy for which Sedona is renowned.
A day off from driving awaits…
